About ProctorU

ProctorU is an online proctoring service that allows students to take an exam from the comfort of their home anytime 24/7.  Watch this brief video to learn more.

At Vol State, faculty members have the option to allow online proctoring when students are prevented from testing in a physical testing center. Instructors simply provide some basic information about the exam via their ProctorU account. This information can be provided to ProctorU before the exam content has been written. Students are responsible for paying their ProctorU fees at a discounted rate for being Vol State students. Fees vary depending on the length of the exam.

Getting Started

Creating a ProctorU account is easy! All you need to do is visit the ProctorU portal page and provide the requested information. Please be sure to select the “Instructor” option.

Once your account has been created, a ProctorU Faculty Rep will contact you to establish a time to connect online for a brief training session lasting about 15-20 mins. Following this meeting, you will be able to log into your account.

Your ProctorU rep will cover account access, exam entry and reporting along with other critical and time-saving features during the training.

Please have your upcoming exam information handy as the ProctorU rep will enter the first exam with you. (For example, course name/number, section number, permitted resources, availability window, time limit, etc.)

Exam information should be provided to ProctorU at least 3-4 weeks before the exam opens.

Faculty may call 855-772-8678, then choose option 2 for faculty support, or use the LiveChat feature within your account.
