Restricting the Recording of Self-View and Students in the Classroom

Follow these steps to restrict the recording of self-view and students in the classroom.

As a best practice, it is always advised to frequently check your Zoom application for the latest updates as Zoom frequently provides security patches & other updates to provide you with a secure web conferencing experience. To check for the latest updates: open your Zoom application, click on your profile picture and then click on Check for Updates and follow the prompts.   1. Browse to the Vol State Zoom Portal at volstate.zoom.us and click on Login to Create/Edit Account which will create your Zoom account or allow you to edit your Zoom account settings.
  2. From the left column, click on Settings.
  3. Select the Recording tab and deselect all settings located in the Cloud recording group of settings.
  4. Select the Record active speaker, gallery view and shared screen separately setting.
  5. Select the Shared screen setting beneath the Record active speaker, gallery view and shared screen separately setting.
  6. Select the Record an audio only file.
  7. Click Save.
