How to locate and use the "TEST Directory" App

The "My Vol State Portal" has been updated to include a new app titled "TEST Directory" for Vol State faculty and staff.

The "Test Directory" links faculty and staff to the "People" tab within "M365".

Standard log in steps to the "My Vol State Portal":

• Select "My Vol State" from the top blue bar at the Vol State homepage.
• Once you are familiar with the "Login Issues?" information box you can select "Close".
• Select "Sign in with Microsoft".
• Enter your Vol State sign in credentials.
• Follow the multi-factor authentication steps as needed.

Steps to searching the "Test Directory" App?

• From the faculty/staff "My Vol State Portal" view select the "TEST Directory" App.

• M365 opens at the People tab and is ready for your search.

• The ability to search by name, department, titles, and other keywords are based on what is available in the profile cards and continues to be researched and developed.

Steps to "Update your profile"?

• From the "People" tab search your own name.
• Select "Update your profile".
• You will see four profile options to choose from.
  • General
    • You can update your Profile picture here.
  • Contact
  • About
    • You can update information under "Biography", "Skills", "You can also ask me about", "Interests and hobbies", "Projects", "Education", and "Birthday".
      • These need to be work specific and uniform within and across departments.
  • Data and Privacy
    • Your visibility settings are saved in SharePoint. To view your visibility settings, go to SharePoint.
      • "Settings" under "Who can see this?" can be set as only "Everyone" as the option and locked.
      • "Settings" under "Who can see this?" can be unlocked for you to choose either "Everyone" or "Only Me".
