Quiz: Set Up Verity Virtual Proctoring for eLearn Quiz

What is Verity?

Verity is an online exam proctoring service built into eLearn. You will need to install a Google Chrome extension that allows Verity to use your computer's web cam and microphone to ensure fair online testing. Quizzes that are Verity enabled must be taken using the Verity Google Chrome Extension.

Creating a Verity Quiz in eLearn

Go to the course you want to use Verity in.
Click on the Evaluation and tab and go to Quizzes.
Once there, click New Quiz at the top of the page.
On this page, you should see an option on the right in the columns that says "Yuja Verity Test Proctoring Platform". If you do not see it, then refer to the Verity Google Chrome Extension.
Once located, you will want to (1) check the "Create a proctored environment..." check box, and (2) click Configure Settings.
Now, you'll see a pop up a window for configuring the settings you want to use for the quiz.
- Select Automated Proctoring
  
  Click Next
- Select Browser extension
  
  Click Next
- In configurations, select the configurations you would like. For more information on each setting, check out Verity Proctoring Configurations page.
  
  Click Next or click on the options in the left column to review and select all of your Setup Proctoring options.
- For information on accommodations, see Verity's Help Article here. If no students need accommodation, click Next.
- Review the setup options you selected on the Confirmation screen. You can click Back to modify your selections. Click Confirm when your satisfied with your setup.
Once you are done, you will see this message pop up at the top of the page.
Save your quiz. You'll now be back in the Manage Quizzes tab. Scroll down to your quiz. Make sure ~~The last thing you will need to do is (1) make sure~~ your quiz has "Yuja Verity for Test Proctoring" in the title ~~of the quiz~~. Finish your setup by clicking the "V" icon to the right of the quiz title and select "Make Visible to Users" so students may see the quiz.
