Set Up Verity for Third-Party Assessments

What is Verity?

Verity is an online exam proctoring service built into eLearn. You will need to install a Google Chrome extension that allows Verity to use your computer's web cam and microphone to ensure fair online testing. Assessments that are Verity enabled must be taken using the Verity Google Chrome Extension.

Authenticate and Install Chrome Extension

  1. Go to the course you want to use Verity in. 
  2. Click on the Evaluation and tab and go to Verity Proctoring.
  3. The Setup page will walk you through checking your browser and installing the Verity browser extension.

Adding Verity to a Publisher Platform Assessment

Before you enable Verity, you need to have the assessment created in the publisher platform and have it deep linked to the content area in eLearn. 

  1. Click on "Evaluation" and go to "Verity Proctoring."Image of an elearn page with a tab pulled selecting Verity
  2. Go back to elearn.
  3. Add the assignment link from the publisher to the content section in elearn. 
  4. You should now have a Verity Box under the link you just added to eLearn.                       Picture of a link with the Verity check box under it
  5. Click the check box 
  6. Follow the prompts through the pop up to set what settings you would like to have enable. Picture of the Verity configurations settings
