What is Verity?
Verity is an online exam proctoring service built into eLearn. You will need to install a Google Chrome extension that allows Verity to use your computer's web cam and microphone to ensure fair online testing. Assessments that are Verity enabled must be taken using the Verity Google Chrome Extension.
Authenticate and Install Chrome Extension
- Go to the course you want to use Verity in.
- Click on the Evaluation and tab and go to Verity Proctoring.
- The Setup page will walk you through checking your browser and installing the Verity browser extension.

Adding Verity to a Publisher Platform Assessment
Before you enable Verity, you need to have the assessment created in the publisher platform and have it deep linked to the content area in eLearn.
- Click on "Evaluation" and go to "Verity Proctoring."

- In the upper right, click "+ Create Assessment."

- Select "Create Third-Party Assessment" from the options.

- Select the publisher/third-party that you are using in the course.

- Provide Verity with the URL/deep link address of the assessment in eLearn. (see video below)
- Set your proctoring settings.
- Instruct your students to access their proctored assessment by clicking on "Evaluation" and go to "Verity Proctoring."
On the Verity dashboard page, students will be prompted to install the Verity extension if they don't already have it. Then they can select the third-party assessment from the list of assessments on the dashboard.
