Add a Quiz to the Content Area
The Add Existing button is used to add eLearn activities, like quizzes, to the students' learning path in the Content area. It is easier to create the activity first and then add it into your learning path.
- Within the module that you want to add an already created quiz, click the "Add Existing" button.

- Select "Quiz"
- Select the specific quiz you want to add to this module.

Once a quiz has been added to Content, you can access quizzes, view students' completion status, and ensure grades have been published to the gradebook from the content area.
The quizzes icon (
) within the Table of Contents indicates where your quizzes are within a module.

- Within Content, you can access a quiz by clicking on the name of the Quiz from the Table of Contents.
- The Edit Activity button allows you to edit the quiz.
- The Launch Quiz button allows you to preview the quiz.
- Under Activity Content, you will see the Description of the quiz you've posted for students.
- Evaluation Criteria states how many points the quiz is worth.
- Attempt Details lists the number of allowed attempts for the quiz and the time limit, if set.
- The Completion Summary section allows you to see a list of all of the students in your course and their completion status.
- The completion status will either be Attempted or left blank if they haven't made a quiz attempt.
- The number of attempts a student has made on a quiz will show up under their name.
- Students' grades will automatically populate in the grade column if the auto-publish attempt results setting is turned on.
- If your quiz has short answer questions, you can grade students' responses from within Content by using the Go to Evaluation hyperlink listed in the Completion Summary area or click Evaluate All to grade all quizzes.
- The word Published will be listed in the Evaluation column once you have finished grading the quiz or if the quiz is scored and published to the gradebook automatically. Whereas, if Published is not listed, this indicates the grade has not been published to the gradebook and is pending your evaluation.
- You can hover over the profile picture of your students to gain quick access to a link you can use to email them. This feature could be helpful if a student scores poorly or if a quiz has not been attempted in a timely manner.

When a student is waiting on you to grade their quiz, they can see that their quiz is pending evaluation within the Content tab of eLearn. Students will have a Status Card stating if they have Attempted or Not Attempted the quiz.

Once you have graded a student's quiz, they will see their Overall Grade on the Status Card within Content and also under Grades in eLearn.
Students can view any feedback received from their instructor and review quiz results from each attempt they made all from within Content.
