My Media: Embedding and Sharing Your Videos

Embedding Your Videos in eLearn

Videos can be embedded in eLearn in many different places. Faculty can add videos to announcements, course pages, discussions, dropboxes and quizzes. Students can embed videos into discussion topics and dropboxes.

Students: For all video assignments, you must upload your video recording to My Media (or create it in My Media) and then post it in eLearn for review and grading.  Your instructor and classmates do NOT have access to your My Media files, so you must embed your video in the course for others to see it. The steps are the same for posting in a discussion or a dropbox.

To embed a My Media video into eLearn:

  1. Go to the location you want to embed the video (for example the discussion thread or the dropbox).
  2. In the text editor, click the "Insert Stuff" button, it looks like a "play/pause/stop" icon.
