Faculty Evaluation and Collaboration Course Access

Faculty can give other faculty access to their course shell in eLearn. Typically, access is given so content can be shared or for a peer evaluation.

How To Grant Course Access

  1. Go to the course you want to grant access to.
  2. Click Communication > Classlist.
  3. Click the blue "Add Participants" button.
  4. Click "Add existing users."
  5. In the search box, type the name or username of the faculty you want to add to the course. Click the enter key or click the magnifying glass to search for the user.
Note: It is best to use username. Many faculty have the same name as a previous or current student, there is no way to tell in the search process if you are selecting a faculty or a student. Searching and selecting by username is the best way to ensure you add the correct person to your course. **
  6. Check the checkbox next to the users name and select the role you want to give them (see "Types of Access" below).
  7. Click "Enroll Selected Users."

** It is recommended you ask the faculty you want to add to your course to provide you with their eLearn username. Faculty can find their eLearn username by looking at the classlist in any of their courses.

How to Remove Course Access

  1. Go to the course you want to remove access to.
  2. Click Communication > Classlist.
  3. Find the colleague on the classlist, select the check mark box next to their image/name.
  4. Click the blue "Unenroll" hyperlink at the top of the classlist.
  5. Follow the on screen prompts to remove them from the course.
