Use the steps listed in this article to insert Creator+ Elements, Practices, and Layouts into a course page in eLearn.
Inserting Creator+ Elements and Practices
Using Creator+ in eLearn, you can now add a variety of Elements and Practices to encourage active learning and effectively structure your content. Elements allow you to organize and group content (e.g. accordions), while Practices allow you to create activities for students (e.g. fill in the blanks).
To insert a new Element or Practice into a new course page in eLearn, follow the instructions below:
- Go to a course in eLearn.
- Click Content in the Nav bar.
- Click on a module or create a new content module.
- In your eLearn module, click Upload/Create, then click Create a Page.
- Once you are on the Create a Page page, enter a title for your course page.
- Click on the Creator+ icon
for the Creator+ Authoring Tools menu.
- Click either Insert Element or Insert Practice.
- Select the Element or Practice you want to add to your eLearn page.
- Complete all the needed information for the Element or Practice you selected.
- Click Preview.
- Once everything looks correct, click Insert.
- Click Save and Close to save changes and return to your course page.
Inserting Creator+ Layouts
Creator+ Layouts present course information and learning materials more efficiently. Layouts allow you to organize and group content into different panels.
To insert a Creator+ Layout into a new course page in eLearn, follow the instructions below:
- Go to a course in eLearn.
- Click Content in the Nav bar.
- Click on a module or create a new content module.
- In your eLearn module, click Upload/Create, then click Create a Page.
- Once you are on the Create a Page page, enter a title for your course page.
- Click on the Creator+ icon
for the Creator+ Authoring Tools menu.
- Click Layouts.
- Select the Format Option you want to apply within your course page.
- Add content to each panel within your Layout using the eLearn editing menu. You can add text, images, and videos just as you would on a regular content page.
- Once everything is formatted the way you would like, click Save and Close to save your work.
