D2L Brightspace Article "Add and organize learning materials in the New Content Experience." Please note that a few terms have been changed in eLearn. For example, Unit is labeled Module and Lesson is a Submodule.
Timeline & Transition
The New Content Experience will be enabled in all courses in mid February 2026.
Transition Period: You can easily switch between Classic and New Content Experience as you explore the interface at your own pace. We encourage you to try the new expereience in advance, so it feels familiar by the time it becomes the default.
How to Switch Views:
- From the Content tool, select the dropdown arrow on the right-hand side (below the navigation bar).
- Select "Turn it off" to return to Classic view, or "Turn it on" to switch back to the new content experience.
Change Date: On May 8th, the new experience will become the only Content experience available. No action is required on your part – your existing content will remain in place, and you’ll see the updated interface the next time you access the Content tool.
