Assignments: Managing Categories and Assignments

Get Started

  1. From the navbar, click Evaluation and select Dropbox.

To reorder categories and assignments:

  1. Click the More Actions button, then click Reorder.
  2. Use the Sort Order drop-down lists to manually change the order in which your categories and folders display.
  3. Click Save.

To edit a category:

  1. Click the Edit Categories button.
    • Change the category name by clicking on the title to open a text box and make the desired changes.
    • Change the sort order by clicking on the number under the sort order column to open a text box and make the desired changes.
    • Add new categories by clicking the "Add Category" button.
    • Click Close
  2. Click the pencil icon under the Due Date column.
    • Change the make the desired changes to the category name.
    • Click Save.

To edit an assignment:

  1. Click the drop-down arrow for the folder title, then click Edit assignment.
  2. Make your desired changes to the folder settings.
  3. Click Save and Close.

To delete a category (2 ways):

  1. Click the trash can icon to the right of the category title under the Due Date column.
    • Click OK.
  2. Click the Edit Categories button. 
    • Put a check in the check box next to the category to be deleted. 
    • Click the trash can icon under the Add Category button.
    • Click OK.
    • Click Close

To delete an assignment:

  1. Click the drop-down arrow for the folder title, then click Delete assignment.
  2. Click OK.

Notes:

If you delete a category that contains dropbox submissions folders, the dropbox submissions folders will appear in the "No Category" section of the assignment list.
