Common Computer Login Errors

Below are some common Vol State-AD domain login errors that users may receive:

There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request.

The computer is not establishing a network connection. Check the network cable at both ends. Even if it doesn’t seem loose, have the user unplug it and plug it back in. The network jack may not be active (especially if the computer has been moved recently, there is a network outage, or there is a hardware problem with the computer’s network card). There may possibly be a domain controller outage, but only if several computers in an area have the same error; request help with this here.
 

The security database on the server does not have a computer account for this workstation trust relationship.

The computer account on the Vol State-AD domain has become invalid. This is usually due to expiration (the computer has not been logged into for 90+ days), virus activity, or automatic system recovery. Vol State IT will most likely need to physically access the computer to re-add it to the Vol State-AD domain; request help with this here
