Create Grade Categories
Using grade categories helps provide organization. It also helps faculty and students easily compare eLearn's grade book to the grading strategy outlined in a syllabus.

On the navbar, click Evaluation and select Grades.

In the Manage Grades area, from the New button select Category.

Set the desired preferences and options for the category or item.

Click Save and Close.
Tip: Be sure to assign a category to each assignment in the grade book. You can visually see that an assignment belongs to a category by noticing the indentation before its title. Category names will remain flush left while items within a category will be indented slightly to the right.
