Creator+ is a comprehensive suite of content creation tools from D2L (the company that makes eLearn) which adds interactive learning elements, practice questions, and web-friendly layout options for a more engaging learning experience. Students will benefit from more engaging content, improved accessibility features, and a seamless learning environment that encourages active participation. Creator+ is available in all eLearn courses and will be visible in the Content section of courses.
There are three Creator+ components you can use within eLearn: Creator+ Elements, Practices, and Layouts.
Creator+ Elements
The Creator+ Insert Element tool allows faculty to add dynamic components with a user-friendly authoring experience that does not require HTML coding knowledge or experience. Using this tool, the following Elements can be added to your eLearn course pages:
- Accordions
- Tabs
- Click and Reveal
- Callout
- Timelines
- Stylized Quotes
- Flip Cards
- Carousel
- Hotspot

Creator+ Practices
Creator+ Insert Practices empowers faculty to create formative learning activities to let learners test their comprehension and get immediate feedback on their understanding of a topic outside of a formal assessment.
Types of Practice that can be created include:
- Fill in the Blanks, using either drop-down selections or typed response
- Multi-Select
- Multiple Choice
- Sequencing
- Sorting
- True or False
While the Practice scores are not saved or tracked, they provide students the opportunity to get immediate feedback on their understanding of course content in a meaningful, low-stake environment.

Creator+ Layouts
Faculty can now add a variety of Layouts to present course information and learning materials more efficiently in eLearn. Layouts allow you to organize and group content into different panels.
There are four types of Layouts available within eLearn. The different Layouts include:
- Two Panels- Two equally sized panels
- Two Thirds/One Third Panels– A large panel followed by a smaller panel
- One Third/Two Third Panels– A small panel followed by a larger panel
- Three Panels– Three equally sized panels
