Preferences: Set Up Notifications

Using Notifications and/or the Pulse app is a great way keep up with all the dates and materials in your classes.

To access the Pulse App, download it from an app store.

When you first log in to the Pulse App, you will need to find your school. Search for "Volunteer" and select "Volunteer State Community College https://elearn.volstate.edu" from the list. Then follow the normal Microsoft Log in process with MFA to log in to your eLearn account.

Configuring Notifications

To change your Notification Settings, start by clicking your name at the top right of the screen. In the pop-up box, click Notifications.

From the Notification Settings screen, you can configure email notifications. From here you can do the following:

  • Choose to have the system email you periodically with a summary of everything that has happened in your courses
  • Select the various reasons for notifications to be sent
  • Customize the content inside the notifications

You can choose to not have any notifications sent to you by unchecking all of the checkboxes, but you also have the ability to exclude specific courses from sending notifications.
