How to Clear the Cookies and Cache on a Windows PC

Chrome

1. Launch Chrome, and in the URL bar, enter:

 chrome://settings/clearBrowserData

NOTE: You can also get to this page by pressing "Ctrl, Shift and Delete" at the same time on your keyboard, while Chrome is open. Alternatively, you can click the "Kebab Button" ( ⋮ ) in the top-right to open the "Customize and control Google Chrome" pane, then select "Settings" > "Privacy and security" > "Delete browsing data."

2. A prompt appears showing the user what data can be deleted.

On the drop-down next to "Time range," select "All time." Ensure that "Browsing histroy," "Cookies and other site data," and "Cached images and files" are checked.

3. Stay in the "Basic" tab. In the drop-down beside "Time range," set it to "All time." Ensure that "Browsing history," "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files" are checked. Then, select "Delete data."
NOTE: Depending on how many files have been stored, it may take a minute to clear.

4. Once it is done, close Chrome and re-launch it.

Firefox

1. Launch Firefox.

2. Press "Ctrl, Shift and Delete" on your keyboard at the same time. A prompt appears showing the user what data can be deleted.
NOTE: You can also get to this page by clicking the "Hamburger Button" ( ☰ ) in the top-right to open the "Application menu" pane, then select "Settings" > "Privacy & Security" > Scroll down until you see "Cookies and Site Data" > "Clear."

3. In the drop-down next to"When" set it to "Everything." Ensure "History," "Cookies and site data," and "Temporary cached files and pages" are checked, then select "Clear."
NOTE: Depending on how many files have been stored, it may take a minute to clear.

4. Once it is done, close Firefox and re-launch it.

Microsoft Edge

Edge is based on Chromium. Therefore, these directions are similar to Chrome's.

1. Open Edge, and in the URL bar, enter:

edge://settings/clearBrowserData

NOTE: You can also get to this page by pressing "Ctrl, Shift and Delete" at the same time on your keyboard, while Edge is open. Alternatively, you can click the "Kebab Button" ( ⋮ ). or Alt + F, in the top-right to open the "Settings and more" pane, then select "Settings" > "Privacy, search, and services" > "Delete browsing data," > "Choose what to clear."

2. A prompt appears showing the user what data can be deleted.

3. In the drop-down beside "Time range," set it to "All time." Ensure that "Browsing history," "Download history," "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files" are checked. Then, select "Clear now."
NOTE: Depending on how many files have been stored, it may take a minute to clear.

4. Once it is done, close Edge and re-launch it.
