Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is available to all students currently enrolled and taking classes at Volunteer State Community College. The Microsoft 365 license will be valid as long as the student is actively enrolled in classes at Vol State .
Installation Instructions:

Open a web browser and navigate to portal.office.com

Enter your student email address i.e. username@volstate.edu and click Next

The page should automatically take your Microsoft 365 website dashboard

If it asks for a username or password, use your Vol State portal log in credentials

To download the program onto your computer, click on the Install Microsoft 365 button in the upper-right section of the dashboard and select Microsoft 365 apps.

Microsoft 365 may be active on no more than 5 devices at once using your Vol State license. Follow these steps to remove any active installs on unused devices.

Click your initials at the top right of the page.

Select My Account.

Under Install Status select Install Options.

Click Deactivate next to the device you wish to remove.

Please note that the installation file is rather large in terms of download size and could take some time to download and install. If you are installing on a mobile device, please consider ensuring the device is plugged into an electrical outlet during the duration of the download process to avoid unnecessarily depleting your device's battery.
This installer will remove any previous versions of Microsoft Office
