Student Computer Labs

Summary

Volunteer State Community College is equipped with the latest in computer technology. Below is a list of open computer labs and hours that are available for student use on main campus & off-campus locations. These labs are configured with internet access, computer hardware, software applications and printing. Below are standard operating hours and do not reflect holidays or semester breaks; hours of operation are posted near the entrance of the Thigpen Library as well.

Please remember that food and drinks are not allowed in any of the computer labs.

Thigpen Library & Learning Commons Computers

The Thigpen Library & Learning Commons Computer Lab is equipped with over 85 computers, 10 laptops, 4 wepa kiosk printers equipped with Visioneer 7800 flatbed scanners (two wepa kiosks on the library side & the other two on the Learning Commons side), 1 Fujitsu ScanSnap SV600 overhead book scanner (library side), 1 Epson V600 Flatbed scanner (library side) and 1 Epson GT-1500 flatbed/document scanner as well (Learning Commons side). They also provide various resources and references; these services and hours of operation can be viewed on the Library's Web Site.

In addition, the Thigpen Library features the Specialized Software Lab located behind the staircase on the first floor which also includes specialized software that matches the software installed in the Mattox Computer Labs.

Cookeville Computers

The Cookeville Campus is equipped with several computers found in various computer labs.

Library Room 206

Library Computer Lab equipped with 33 computers and a photocopier with the capability to copy, scan to email or USB flash drive & printing capabilities. The room also features a Fujitsu ScanSnap SV600 overhead book scanner.

 

Learning Commons Room 304

Computer Lab equipped with 22 computers and printing capability; open when not in use by classes.

The Livingston Campus is equipped with several computers found in various computer labs.

Computer Lab equipped with 20 computers and 2 printers.

Learning Commons computer lab equipped with 33 computers and 1 printer.

Library Computer Lab equipped with 6 computers, 1 printer, a HP ScanJet 5590 flatbed scanner with the capability to copy, scan, and print & a Fujitsu ScanSnap SV600 overhead book scanner.
