How to log into My Vol State Student Portal

First Time Log In Steps

You will need to contact the IT Help Desk at (615) 230-3302 with your V#.

  • Your V# can be found in your Vol State acceptance letter, your Student ID, or by contacting the Records office at (615) 230-3466.

You will also need to make sure to setup your MFA the first time you log in. 

I Setup My Password/Passphrase and MFA Previously

  1. Navigate to the My Vol State Portal Login page.
  2. Start on the Vol State website home page

    • Select the My Vol State Portal link in the top right of the screen or...

    • Select the hamburger icon at the top left of the screen and choose the My Vol State Portal link from the provided Quick Links.

  3. Once the My Vol State Portal login page opens read the "Login Issues" notification and select "Close".

Set your password

  1. Click on the green "Set/Reset Password" button.

  2. Follow the Microsoft prompts to "Get back into your account".

Log in to the portal

  1. Once you've set your password, go back to the My Vol State Portal login and click the "Sign in with Microsoft" button.

  • Enter your Vol State email address and click "Next."

  • Enter your password and click "Sign In."
