Recording a Zoom Meeting on a Personal Computer

Zoom users are able to record their meetings. These recordings are automatically migrated into the user's Kaltura account and available to them through My Media in MediaSpace and eLearn.

  • Where is my Zoom recording?
  • I looked in Zoom and cannot find my recording.
  • How do I locate my Zoom recording?
  • I recorded a Zoom meeting and can't find the recording.

Note: Zoom recordings are "owned" by the originating host who scheduled the meeting.

For additional information about accessing local and cloud Zoom Recordings, visit the Zoom knowledge base article, Finding and Viewing Recordings.

Roles and Responsibilities

User Responsibilities:

  1. Record your Zoom meeting in the cloud.
  2. End the meeting (recordings will not be completed until the meeting has ended).
  3. The recording will automatically migrate from Zoom to Kaltura Media Space within a few minutes. You will receive an automated email (with a link) from Zoom once the video file is available for download from Zoom.
  4. To view the recording natively in Zoom, go to the Vol State Zoom Portal and click on Login to Create/Edit Account, then click on Recordings.
  5. You can also view the video file once migrated from Zoom to Kaltura Media in MediaSpace (https://learningmedia.volstate.edu/my-media) or by signing into eLearn and sign-in using your Vol State username and password.
  6. Once signed in, select My Media.
  7. Your most recent recording should display at the top of this page.
